Biscuit ware bottle

Shipping time 7 dni

An excuisite example of traditional folk art, a biscuit ware bottle made on a potter's wheel in the workshop of an eminent folk artist from Eastern Poland using methods and materials that have been used in pottery for centuries. Its spherical shape with a narrow neck is at once characteristic of the slavonic peoples and probably the most difficult to make on a wheel.

The bottle is biscuit in colour (hence the name), unglazed. It was kiln fired, once more using fully traditional methods rather than modern electric kilns.

The spherical, narrow necked bottle, decorated with a delicate pattern, will make a beautiful decoration in any room, it works perfectly on its own as well as a set of three or five similar vessels.
