Biscuit ware vase

Shipping time 7 dni

An excuisite example of traditional folk art, a biscuit ware vase made on a potter's wheel in the workshop of an eminent folk artist from Eastern Poland using methods and materials that have been used in pottery for centuries.

The vase is biscuit in colour (hence the name), unglazed. It was kiln fired, once more using fully traditional methods rather than modern electric kilns.

It will make an excellent decoration both on its own or together with similar, biscuit ware object such as bowls, jugs or bottles.

The vase has not been impregnated or glazed which means it can easily be decorated/painted with ornaments of choice. It is water resistant and can be used for example for foods, it will however display the effect of 'sweating' characteristic of all unglazed pottery.
