Biscuit ware vase

Shipping time 7 dni

An excuisite example of traditional folk art, a biscuit ware vase made on a potter's wheel in the workshop of an eminent folk artist from Eastern Poland using methods and materials that have been used in pottery for centuries. The bottom of the vase bears the potter's stamp attesting to its authenticity.

The vase is biscuit in colour (hence the name), unglazed. It was kiln fired, once more using fully traditional methods rather than modern electric kilns.

It will make an excellent decoration both on its own or together with similar, biscuit ware object such as bowls, jugs or bottles.

The vase was made using purely traditional methods and has not been glazed or impregnated thanks to which it has preserved all the advantages of biscuit pottery including the so called 'sweating' which results in cooling the liquids stored in it. It can safely be used for storing and serving food.
